Bratislava/Rome, April 9- Slovak President Andrej Kiska, on his first official visit as Head of State, visited the Vatican for a meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis.  On this occasion, President Kiska presented to Pope Francis a unique, 23-carat gold-leafed, photo book, featuring the works of Slovak photographer Filip Kulisev.  As Kiska explained, "Slovakia is a wonderful country and Filip Kulisev portrays it like no one else. Therefore  hang his photographs  in my office and I decided to give his photobook to Pope Francis."

‎"Hand-made, using special techniques and fortine backing, ensures that the colors of the photographs remain clear and vibrant for at least 200 years,“ stressed Kulisev.  The photo book is bound in leather and placed in a specially-designed wooden box, including a dedication embroidered with golden thread.  "It is a speciality of Slovak craftsmanship; I am deeply honored that the head of the Catholic Church received this photo book.  I am confident that His Holiness will enjoy my photographs, which show the diversity and beauty of my beloved homeland,“ added Kulisev.
